Job Description Shop Assistant


Duties: Applicant must be willing to do a wide variety of interesting tasks as needed.
These range from.

  1. Ensuring our customers receive excellent help and support information with our products.
  2. Be Prepared to help with the preparation, cleaning and repairs of fancy dress costumes, wigs and accessories for continued costume hire.
  3. Be prepared to help customers with the fitting of their costumes and give advice on their needs.
  4. Applicant must be prepared to dress up in Fancy Dress store costumes for special occassions and promotion periods.
  5. Help Prepare Balloon Bouquets.
  6. Help with stacking and restocking shop shelves.
  7. Help with cleaning shelves, floors and windows.
  8. Prepared to learn new computer skills.

 

 

Applicant Requirements:

  1. To be of sound, happy, fit and healthy disposition.
  2. Bubbly and friendly personality encouraged.
  3. Moody and unreliable people need not apply as we will not tolerate poor working habits. We want a fun, healthy and happy environment for all our staff to enjoy working in.
  4. Honesty and integrity is paramount.
  5. Applicant must be prepared to be punctual to work.
  6. Applicant must be well dressed whilst working at Cackle Ducks.

    Unacceptable Work Wear:
    No Jeans, hi cut shorts, plunging necklines.
    No high heals or stilletto type shoes, sloppy sandles or thongs. Comfortable closed in flat shoes or clean sneakers preffered.

    Acceptable Work Dress:
    Summer
    * Navy Blue knee length shorts or Navy Blue 3/4 or full length work wear pants.
    *Nice Cotton Tops or smart workwear shirts / uniforms.

    Winter: As above but warmer versions.
  7. Drivers Licence will be a plus.
  8. Saturday work is required.

  9. Competant computer skills are an advantage.
